Job purpose
The Retail Area Manager will work directly with retail management to evaluate overall operations of retail shop and retail F&B. He/She will Provide assessments for each retail shop & retail F&B, while reviewing for efficiency, effectiveness, and accuracy.
Main Job Responsibilities:
Retail Operations
- Manage and oversee retail operational activities in all stores
- Monitor retail stores and ensure company standards are adhered and applied
- Handle customer and staff complaints and feedback
- Reviewing operational challenges to identify issues obstructing performance
- Provide practical solutions for operational challenges in all stores and be the contact person for all retail operational activities
- Evaluate the performance of stores
- Ensure all operational activities adhere to relevant legislations, health and safety regulations and licensing conditions
- Ensure cash and security policies, administration, and financial procedures are adhered to, with relevant and accurate data being delivered on time
Retail Staff
- Develop and update company’s product knowledge
- Liaising with Human Resources regarding staff related issues
- Ensure full implementation of induction program for new retail staff
- Ensure that retail team adheres and comply to company’s policies and procedures
- Train on a daily basis all retail staff
Retail Sales
- Ensure that the sales goal is clear and achievable by staff
- Manage revenues and cost within allocated budget
- Maintain effective regular communications with relevant personnel at all levels
Retail Stock
- To be able to achieve stock control targets to prevent financial loss.
- Responsible for overseeing wine stock take
Others
- Prepare monthly commissions/incentives/petty cash reports
- Look for new sales development business opportunities
- Report to Retail Head - Thailand
Skill Experience Qualifications :
Specific
- 5 years of prior experience in a similar role
- Experience in effectively managing a sales team
- Sales oriented and cost awareness
- Strong service mind and detail oriented
- Result oriented with systematic report
General
- Proficient in the store’s operational system
- Strong leadership and organizational skills
- Problem solving skills
- Strong written and oral communication skills for managing business
- Managerial and supervisory skill with effective communication skill
- Ability to follow instruction and deliver quality results
- Ability to use Microsoft Office
- Knowledge in retail POS & ERP SYSTEM
- Knowledge/Interest in wine
- Knowledge/Interest in retail business
- Proficient in Thai & English
- Ability to work flexible hours, in the weekends and holidays
