Primary Function:
Golf Pride is a world leader in golf grip manufacturing.  Golf Pride develops and manufactures golf grips for Retail and OEM customers in its two owned and operated factories. This position supports new product development in Golf Pride Thailand manufacturing facility. Working with Taiwan RD team and Thailand manufacturing team for validation of design concept, Product Design==> Tooling Design==> Process compatibility, quick sample development and process development for rubber molding and finishing of product

This position is responsible to lead TH new product tooling design verification and tooling validation as well as support development activities of new product development to meet speed and quality objectives. Summarizes development results and communicates findings to internal and external parties. Develops technical documentation for all projects.

Essential Functions;

• Work with design team to ensure that new Tooling designs meet client or project specifications as well as suitable for manufacturing.
• Manage vendors with on time and on budget delivery of tooling components when required
• Lead prototypes tooling testing of new designs, collecting relevant information, reporting feedback of new tooling. Write tooling methodology plus specifications for new tooling manufacturing
• Work with manufacturing engineer team to develop solution for new product design and tooling issues.
• Perform minor drawing adjustment using CAD or AutoCAD
• Support the quick turnaround of prototype samples to support product development needs.
• Support in develop and control all molding and finishing processes for product validation.  Support data preparation for all processes involved in PPAP readiness.
• Strive to improve processes and production efficiency. Ensure all processes are documented and recorded. Record and analyze test data in the global database (Enovia).
• Standardize molding and finishing processes where applicable.  Initiate improved processes for improved efficiency. Support in develop and collaborating new manufacturing processes in a Global Team.
• Deploy the compliance of Global Processing Standards.  
• Collaborate with Quality Assurance to measure process effectiveness on an objective scale.  Review and get consensus on acceptable limits of processing variables.
• Support Global Engineering Standards. Establish and maintain centralized online data storage for all data.  Ensure the master database is organized and secure.
• DOE practices for processing: study the variance between materials and machinery capability to optimize process standards.
• Follow established processes that meet or exceed Eaton safety standards and other regulatory requirements.
• Collected lessons learned on Tooling & Process controls to achieve robust product quality. Pursue continuous learning and improvement to advance the knowledge

Basic Qualification:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or related field
• Demonstrated knowledge of  R & D ( process development ) at least 3 years
• English language and communications skills, Mandarin Chinese language skills desired

Preferred Qualification:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Metallurgy .
• Experiences of process engineer or technical engineer or RD engineer.
• Strong English language skills, Mandarin Chinese language skills desired
• Industry-specific product experience may be advantageous
• Experience in composite tooling design and fabrication

Technical knowledge

• Good working knowledge of manufacturing processes, materials, and quality control protocols.
• Experience with 3D modeling software and engineering drawing programs
• All Microsoft Office software including Project 2010 or later
