Regional Statutory Accounting & Finance Manager

client: US-based Oil & Gas MNC

Responsibilities

• Involved in overall Finance and Accounting functions with encompassing statutory accounting, taxation, internal & external auditing, accounting policies, completeness of accounts, financial planning & analysis and all other financial reporting, payroll across Thailand, Vietnam, Cambodia, Myanmar etc.
• Manage transactional matters which are supported by Finance Shared Service Centre.
• Ensuring compliance to accounting standards, statutory and other external requirements.
• Liaise with various external parties, such as auditors, solicitors, tax consultants, bankers and statutory bodies.
• Perform treasury function and maintain relationships with financial institutions.
• Supervising staffs (finance department)
• Ensuring the business is fully compliant with tax, US GAAP and IFRS
• Review and signing off monthly Balance Sheet Reconciliations and ensuring no exposure
• Assisting in the budget process
• Cash flow forecast and all treasury related matters
• Coordinate and engage with The Corporate SSC or any outsource partner on the month-end closing process and any other tasks required throughout the month
• Other ad-hoc duties as directed

Qualifications

• Degree graduates in Finance & accounting or relevant discipline.
• Minimum 8+ years of work experience in statutory accounting & taxation role.
• Ability to influence people at all levels within the organisation;
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills;
• Excellent management skills and interpersonal skills;
• Oil and Gas background is a plus.
