Job Description
Department : Contract & Service
Reports To : Account manager
Purpose:
Responsible for assisting account manager to provide technical support to customer, assisting to run and monitor of trials and projects, assisting develop installation business in Refractory on steel plant industry
Key Result Areas:
- Plan, monitor and control daily works for EAF, Ladle, Tundish and ladle
- slide gate
- Establish the trial plan, trial method and record format for new materials or new practices
- Collect trial, incident, refractory performance and steel making process information for analysis and reports
- Supervise and advise team to ensure correct refractory/mechanism installation practice
- Coordinate with customers for routine works, new projects, problem solving and improvement strategy.
- Co-ordinate with sales administrators to do stock checking, calculate material consumption to invoice for payment collection.
- Prepare internal / external technical / incident / performance reports and presentations to ensure the performance efficiency
- Ensure inventory control system are run an efficient manner
- Provide and prepare the information for MRP to ensure the stock control efficiency
- Prepare reports and presentations by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information.
- Prepare and update ladle plan to optimize plant and refractory performance
- Create draft drawing of new product for RFQ process to get new product drawing.
- Coordinate with HR about working time and welfare of refractory team
- Provide and prepare daily refractory report to customer
- Prepare, review and update Work Instruction related to Vesuvius products at customer sites.
- Set up maintenance plan for Vesuvius slide gate mechanism at customer sites. Monitor, control and follow standard works

Qualifications:
- Bachelor degrees in Metallurgical engineering/ Materials Science/ Mechanical Engineering / Industrial Engineering / Tool Engineering or related field
- Prior experience in working in a multi-site desired
- Prefer previous supervision experience
- Prefer 1 - 3 years’ work experience in Steel Production, Refractory works or related field
Knowledge:
- Knowledge of Steel Production or Refractory works
Skills & Behaviour:
- Energetic, displays leadership, decision making, strategic thinking, self-motivated, able to work independently, good analytical skills and eager to change and improve
- Ability to perform under pressure in a fast paced and changing working environment.
- Self-learning.
- Must have a positive can-do attitude.
