Purchasing Manager

Qualifications:

• Bachelor or Master’s degree in MBA, industrial engineering or related fields
• Experience in purchasing of TEXTILE materials and sourcing for the garments.
• Minimum of 10 years of purchasing/procurement/sourcing experience, preferably within garment
• Good communication/organizational skills, and be able to demonstrate an ability to understand complex regulations/procedures.
• Working under pressure to meet deadlines.
• Good command of written and spoken English
• Excellent negotiating skills.
• Knowledge of ERP
• Strong computer skills, with expertise in Excel

• Administration and Management -- Knowledge of business and management principles involved in strategic planning, resource allocation, leadership technique, production methods, and coordination of people and resources.

Roles and Responsibility

• Manages and operates the purchasing/procurement function to obtain the best possible prices while meeting or exceeding standards and quality levels
• Ability to support material and accessories sourcing. Ability to source, select and manage suppliers.
• Monitor quality standards, from sampling to production, ensure quality testing is being conducted on fabrics, accessories and garment.
• Contribute ideas which will help enhance the performance of the products. Manage a set of KPI’s to achieve overall budgets, including sales, stock-levels and markdown costs
• Checking the quantity that receive versus what have been delivered to stores and approve the correct payment to supplier
• Works with the Merchandising, Buying and Store Stock Planning team to deliver the plans
• Track and analyze the non-movement material stock to study the causes find solutions.
• Prepare and update the sourcing and purchasing database for more efficient management.
• Prepare the working plan and budget of purchasing department to present to the management and implementation plans under the approved budget.
• Implements NaRaYa strategy following the four Purchasing ” road maps” :
  • Build up the supply base
  • Develop suppliers to grow together
  • Integrate suppliers into the development of products and systems
  • Implements the Purchasing best practices
• Manages team members: recruitment, development, training, quality and skills
• Making Decisions and Solving Problems -- Analyzing information and evaluating results to choose the best solution and solve problems.
• Perform other related duties as required.
