Responsibilities:
- Coordinating with the team on any transfer projects (moulds and machines) of new products from overseas entities to SEA.
- Managing the seamless transfer of full operations to and from various locations and ensuring the readiness and validation of smooth business transitions and consolidation.
- Analysing, designing, planning and managing all plant improvements to support transfers, including those relating to plant layouts, process flow, utilities, legal documents and new warehouse/new plant space, etc.
- Managing the product development process from the concept phase (product technical drawing, and characteristics) with the R&D Department and / or experts from overseas.
- Contacting local / overseas vendors regarding quotations and the development of customized components / processes.
- Contacting local / overseas machine makers regarding quotations and the development of moulding and assembling equipment, and coordinating the transfer and implementation of machinery (on-site) with the Manufacturing team.
- Compiling with concerned technical departments and suppliers, technical documentation and manufacturing procedures (machinery manuals, maintenance, QC, traceability, process validation documents).
- Ensuring the validation of the product and manufacturing processes before launching into mass-production as per customer requirements and Company/Group manufacturing standards.
- Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical or Plastics Engineering with experience in plastics processing and tooling (injection moulding, injection blow moulding and stretch blow moulding).
- Knowledge of Auto CAD and Pro-E, or any other related software.
- At least 4-5 years’ progressive working experience is required in project management and preferably coming from within the packaging industry, with strong knowledge of plastic parts production in terms of assembly and injection moulding processes.
- Familiarity with the tools, concepts and methodologies of project management; methodologies such as continuous improvement.
- Good command of both written and spoken English.
