Job Description
SUMMARY OF ROLE
In RB Bangplee there will be one MPS Planner for each of our production line or group of products. Each MPS planner will have full responsibility for planning finished goods in line with market demand and stock requirements, and the required materials from suppliers to execute the plan. They will also be working closely with operations to ensure their plans are delivered
RESPONSIBILITIES/ ACCOUNTABILITIES

Each MPS planner will have full responsibility for planning finished goods in line with market demand and stock requirements, and the required materials from suppliers to execute the plan. They will also be working closely with operations to ensure their plans are delivered
RESPONSIBILITIES/ ACCOUNTABILITIES
- Consolidate customer requirements and produce production schedules based on agreed customer demand and production capabilities. The plans will meet service commitments from NPI, on-going replenishment and discontinuations
- Analyze packing and manufacturing requirements, and operational issues to create a rough cut capacity plan
- Monitor production / demand balance and adjust output to optimise cost, supply and stock holding for a period of 8 weeks
- Agreeing labour requirements with Operations identifying which resources are priority and amend plan accordingly based on service priorities
- Review exceptions in demand changes that impact the schedules / plans and where appropriate adjust plans to maintain service levels
- Management of work orders in the production plan in JDE
- Issue material schedule requirements to suppliers in line with line plans and monitor deliveries and performance from the suppliers
- Ensure required materials to meet the plans are appropriately scheduled for deliveries to the plant on time
- Understand material usage patterns to determine future replenishment policies
- Minimize RM and PM stock holding and sure the stock held is required for production within a given horizon
- Control & implementation of pack changes, to reflect the discontinuation of old materials and the introduction of the new ones
- Identify expired materials and the subsequent actions required
- Ensure effective MRP planning with capacity constraints considerations
- Deliver target service levels to RB customers by monitoring demand fluctuations, this requires close collaboration with Operations, Customers and Suppliers
- Work with Operations to determine required shift patterns and labour requirements
- Work collaboratively with the Procurement team to optimize supply performance of factory suppliers
- Ensure planning process facilitate collaborative ways of working with suppliers, operations and country based staff
- Detailed knowledge of MRP, MRPII
- Graduate calibre
- Ability to deal with complex issues with customers on a global basis through effective communication
- Good communication skills
- Detailed knowledge of ERP and MRP software (SAP, JDE, DATAIII, …)
