Job Summary

The position will mainly manage, plan, and improve analysis of P&C product units across 4 countries. This person is required to propose technical knowledge and guidance related to actuary to technical and non-technical audience by presenting. The person also needs to have a broad knowledge about other related functions e.g., IT, underwriting etc in order to drive the business result

Job responsibilities

  • Lead the analysis of the non-motor portfolio across the four countries, analysing trends and making tactical and strategic recommendations.
  • Make complex analysis to help drive strategic decision-making by delivering actionable insights and recommendations.
  • Develop and maintain systems, data and reports to facilitate department analytics and reporting as well as develop models to illustrate the impact of proposed options.
  • Drive renewal retention optimization.
  • Promote a data driven approach to underwriting decisions across non-motor product lines.
  • Assist in budgeting, business planning process and building strategic initiatives.
  • Present findings, share insights, and make recommendations to senior management that impact profitability, growth and/or customer satisfaction.
  • Consults on complex business issues.
  • Train managers to use the tools and processes, and work with underwriters to foster data driven decision making.
  • Build strong relationships and lead frequent two-way communication with underwriters and other departments.
Job Requirement

  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • Actuarial background preferred.
  • Solid planning, organizational and project management skills and experience, with a strong ability to navigate technology.
  • Combination of analytical, technical, and business acumen with proven track record in solving business problems through application of analytic approaches.
  • Highly developed communication and presentation skills, and the ability to work with technical and non-technical business groups across the organization, being able to communicate technical results clearly and effectively to a nontechnical business audience.
  • Knowledge of the General Insurance domain, including insurance principles and the various functions of an insurance organization, and having an actuarial background would be advantageous.
  • Adept at performing strategic work both independently and collaboratively as a project team member or leader A
  • ability to establish and build effective relationships within the organization.
  • Proficient in Excel, PowerPoint, and data analysis software
