IT SENIOR SYSTEMS ADMIN

Monthly Salary:  30,000 – 40,000

What you will be doing:

• Provide functional, technical and ongoing life-cycle support in a friendly and professional manner for enterprise operating systems, applications, servers and networking infrastructure
• Provide hands-on support for site infrastructure, such as servers, SANs, switches, network cabling and equipment
• Plan and prioritize work activities based on business requirements, while adhering to GES standards, policies and procedures
• Implement and deploy IT solutions in a 1:1 environment in accordance with GES Information Management policies and procedures
• Record service details for Requests and Incidents in a ticket tracking system
• Maintain asset inventory accurately and up to date

Key responsibilities and duties

• Maintain and enhance the SLA of 99.99% for offered services and managed platforms
• Manage and perform redundancy testing across all services
• Automate solutions or proactively address weaknesses to prevent outages/downtimes
• Responsible for architecting, deploying, maintaining and auditing infrastructure for high availability, scalability and reliability
• Engage with project teams and IT Systems Support to drive operational best practices
• Assist the IT Manager in the execution and daily ICT operational and administrative duties
• Liaise with clients and leadership to drive operational best practices
• Ensure the integrity of systems by monitoring and administering the system backups and disaster recovery procedures.
• Document and update standard operating procedures, user instructions, and infrastructure drawings as needed.
• Script and code automation tools for automation and efficiency
• Assist the internal help desk by providing tier 2 and 3 support where required.
• Escalate incidents to third party contractors/consultants as needed.

Skills & Qualifications

You take pride in calling yourself expert/master in most of the following technologies/skills, with minimum 3 years of relevant experience in the following:

• Bilingual communication skills (Thai and Conversational English)
• Infrastructure or systems capacity planning
• Excellent troubleshooting skills
• Cloud Infrastructure: 
  • Strong knowledge of G Suite for Education Admin (OUs, Policies, User and Group provisioning)
  • Strong knowledge of MDM software such as Mosyle and JAMF (User, Group and Device provision, setting up policies and workflows) 
• Servers: 
  • In depth Linux/Unix fundamentals: Good understanding the various Linux kernel subsystems (memory, storage, network etc), Understanding of various distributions nuances (Debian/Ubuntu/Centos etc), Package management etc. VM Hypervisor environments - management and configuration, HA & Load Balancing Concepts
  • Windows Server fundamentals: Strong operational knowledge of Active Directory architecture (Group Policy, Security Policy, User & Group provisioning, OUs, subdomains, forest trusts), SMB File-services
• Network Administration: Full-stack IPv4 Networking Fundamentals - DNS, DHCP, TCP/UDP; Layer 3 Routing, OSPF, RSTP, vLAN tagging & subnetting, QoS, TLS, Firewall ACLs, SDWAN, DPI configuration
• Formal Training, Certification or Experience in the following would be considered an asset:
  • ITIL Foundations certification or knowledge
  • Google, Apple, Microsoft, CompTIA N+, or other vendor certifications.
  • Fortinet, Dell EMC, Ubiquiti enterprise hardware
  • LAMP and WIMP stack development
