Job Description


Responsible for the strategy and performance of the categories for the country, both B&M and E-Commerce as well as drive growth of Sephora Collection.

Manage team to deliver excellence


Budget and Strategy Planning

  • Work with country manager on budgeting process:

o   Sales and margin split per market and category & M&A expense planning.

o   Sales by Brand, including Sephora Private Label.

o   Animation & Display Expense

  • Develop local Portfolio & Pricing Strategy in line with country’s strategy.

Sephora Collection Performance Management

  • Sales & Margin Budget Planning
  • Sephora Collection marketing budget planning
  • Result tracking vs KPIs
  • Ensure close monitoring of merchandising and animation quality
  • Collaborate closely with marketing team in order to ensure the right level of marketing support and deliver performance on target
  • Work with retail team to drive sales and engagement within the organisation

Brand Partner Business Development and Performance Management

  • Work with brand partners to ensure strong performance via annual launch plan review, marketing support,animation planning, margin and commercial terms improvement, as well as effective flow of goods to both stores andE-Commerce operation.
  • Lead negotiation for maximum support from brands, margin, GWPs (omni-channel) and Instore Events.
  • Create partnership with new potential brands and manage new product sell-in process: data validation & submission.
  • Maintain and update brand contracts.

Market and Category Performance Tracking & Reporting

  • Track key performance indicators: sales by market & category, gross margin, inventory health vs KPIs.
  • Reporting:

Category, Market, and Margin Performance: Weekly & Monthly & Quarterly  (see sample of Weekly Report, Flash, and Thailand Business Status Update)

Brand Feedback Report submitted to Regional

Floorplan management for new store opening and renovation

  • Manage floorplan updates and brand placement according to needs: category rezoning, introduction of new brands, consolidation and delisting of existing brands.
  •  Propose to Regional Team first cut of new store floorplans for validation.
  •  Work with brands on fixtures, stocks and merchandising for new store opening and store renovation.

Management of Merchandising & Animations Team

  • Manage M&A team to deliver strong instore animations and implement high merchandising and animation standards.
  • Ensure animation and merchandising KPIs are met.

Planogram Management

  • Ensure a relevant, optimal assortment by brand according to allocated space.
  • Work with brands to develop logical planograms, respecting JDA guidelines.

Regulatory Affairs

  • Overview RA process with RA team to ensure smoothness of the operations


  • Excellent Microsoft Excel and Powerpoint skills
  • Strong interpersonal communication skills with the ability to motivate
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Results Oriented
  • 10 years+ Account/Brand Management experience, ideally from the beauty/fashion industry
  • Prior experience in managing a team
  • Keen interest in the beauty industry with a flair for trends and style
  • Excellent command of spoken and written English
  • Bachelor Degree in Business/Marketing
