Job Description

The Developer / Senior Developer role that is being recruited is within the Aloha Development team, and is based in Thailand.  

The requirement is for a ‘full stack’ developer capable of operating in any of the application layers, and having a good understanding of how those layers integrate.

The successful candidate will work within established distributed Scrum Teams. Technology is used to ensure effective and close collaboration between the team members who are typically located within our Australia office and our Bangkok (Thailand) office. The role is based in our Bangkok office. Ability to travel is beneficial as occasional opportunities arise. 

Responsibilities

• Practice continuous integration, check-in frequently, resolve build and test failures immediately and adhere to design and coding standards.
• Practice test-driven development by writing automated (unit & integration) tests
• Collaborate with Product owners (PO) and Quality Assurance (QA) to help in the definition of user stories, acceptance criteria and test cases.
• Participate in design and technical workshop discussions, story definition, planning and estimation sessions.

Qualifications

• A Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Management Information System or related field.
• The minimum 3 years of experience in software development with minimum 1 year of experience in Angular (version 2 or above).
• Strong frontend development experience in a JavaScript based web framework, preferably in Angular.
• Good knowledge in Typescript, NodeJS, JavaScript, HTML5 and CSS3/SCSS.
• Experience in developing and consuming RESTful APIs.
• Experience in SQL or NoSQL (Ex: MongoDB, RavenDB etc.) database design and programming, preferably in MongoDB.
• Knowledge of SOA/Micro services.
• Experience working with Agile methodologies.
• Experience working in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to work effectively in a cross-functional team.
• Good communication skills in English.
