DECATHLON, the original chain created in 1976 in France, and the other local and online retail formats, sell our own Passion brand products, made with materials provided by our own production team. Thanks to our 80 000 employees, Decathlon controls the whole development chain: from Research & Development to the sales floor, including design, production and logistics. We can proudly say that we opened 9 stores already during the past 2 years and we plan to open another 30 stores! So we need many more sportspeople.

You will form a partnership with production project leader toachieve the target. You will take the lead in all financial aspects of the project, such as P&L control, P&L analysis, KPI follow up, accounting control, take part in some accounting process and, budgeting.
You are willing to take part in production role in order to have a hybrid job: Finance-Production role once you fully take control of finance part.
Main Responsibilities
- Work closely with project leader to review monthly business performance, provide P&L analysis and providing useful financial insights to the operations.
- Ensure quality of P&L used by the business for decision-making and that potential risks and opportunities are anticipated and understood.
- Control P&L to be in line with budget and understand the gap.
- Establish, implement and ensure effectiveness and compliance of financial framework and procedures
- Work with accounting/tax team to promote data flow automation.
- Work with legal team to ensure all contract and legal procedures are respected.
- Work as a team player in production team after 4-6 months working.
- Responsible for ad-hoc reports/projects as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in accounting / finance field
- 3-5 years’ experience in accounting-finance area
- Candidate should be able to work independently
- Forward strategic thinking with a proactive approach to problem-solving
- Proficient in spoken and written English
