        The Employee Relations Specialist manages TH ISC’s relationship with its employees. The role oversees this relationship from the hiring process to current employees to the exit process. In conjunction with the HR team, this role manages ER operations and strategy for two plants in Thailand – Lakrabang and Khon Kaen.
     
        This role works with the PLT of both plants in an advisory capacity and bridges the link between Mondelēz TH ISC operations, employment law and adherence to company regulations. In addition, this role performs a variety of duties to promote employee welfare.

      
    Some of the key accountabilities for this role will include (but are not limited to)

    • Custodian of developing communicating and implementing policies, programs and procedures related to Employee Relations – along with carrying out periodical health checks to validate effectiveness and compliance to Mondelez regulations and country labour law (new or proposed law regulations)
    • Administer Mondelez Thailand Disciplinary Standards – manage labour grievances as needed by investigating circumstances of incident, validity of claims, performance improvement plans, adherence to MDLZ discipline standards and resolution procedures, with end to end documentation.
    • Lead and manage FOF HC reduction plans & involuntary terminations ensuring all actions comply to MDLZ regulations and country labour law
      • Owner of FOF HC reduction glidepath and reporting
      • Leading regular reviews with stakeholders to review status of glidepath and suggestions on further optimization
    • Lead and manage Site Welfare team operations – including regular connects, election management, adherence to employee engagement plan, and preparing written materials for documentation and conveying information to wider team and stakeholders
    • Support in managing all audits to cover HR representation by working with all respective stakeholders to close audits and action plans – covering SMETA, QCMS and any applicable audits
    • Owner of engagement drivers and employee engagement plan to meet best-in-class engagement results through effective focus group discussion and action plan completion
      • Standard Work Process owner for [email protected] for shop-floor colleagues
    • Monitor site adherence to labour law & regulations, whilst consulting and advising PLT and managers to ensure compliance with legal and administrative requirements.
    • Build and refresh site capability on labour law regulations, MDLZ standards law and industry practises with an aim of embedding best-in-class practices
    • Work in coordination with HR and other departments to create and sustain positive employee relations and facilitate effective communications between employees and PLT
    • Lead AC and CMT planning exercise with monthly tracking of key KPIs/KAIs and regular reviews with PLT
    • Support site’s IL6S journey by leading PLT discussions on site master plan for people and manage pillar gives & gets to drive integration and empower culture to focus on people development
    • Implement standardized processes for handling ER issues while helping get to root cause and remediation.
    • Stakeholder management of all 3rd party manpower resource providers, ensuring all legal requirements are followed with compliance to all policies and standards
    • Identify people losses within the organization practices and propose actions to eliminate these
    • Ensure OT controls are in place and compliant both in terms of cost ambitions and legal requirements
    • Driving employment equity & diversity (EE), being responsible for the EE agenda and proposing actions to complement EE ambitions
    • Pro-actively address ER issues and represent the company in external dispute forums/legal hearings in support with the Thailand Legal team
    • Lead and manage employee counselling sessions in forms of:
      • End of service benefits in case of termination/redundancy
      • Behavioural aspects
    • Conduct exit interviews for all resigned employees and provide feedback regarding trends revealed in exit interviews

    Do you have what it takes?

    • Master’s Degree in Human Resources/Labour relations or related field
    • Certification in HR
    • Outstanding organisational and time management skills
    • Excellent verbal and written communications skills
    • Demonstrating an ability to work with confidential information
    • Detail-oriented and dedicated to meeting deadlines
    • Strong decision-making skills with ability to manage multiple projects at once
    • Excellent negotiating skills
    • Flexibility to work with a diverse range of people and establish effective working relationships
    • String project and time management skills with the ability to multi-task and manage multiple projects to closure
    • Minimum 5 to 7 years’ experience in human resources/employee relations/business partnering
    • Demonstrated knowledge of employment law and workforce reduction projects
