Position: DCS Boardman (Distributed Control System)
Location: Industrial Park 304 (Prachinburi)
Business: Lyocell Fibers for Textile Industry
Salary: 45,000 (+ Allowance 10,000)
Working days : Mon – Fri, 8:00 am – 5:00 pm
Responsibilities:
Process Responsibility:
- Manage day-to-day DCS operation activities.
- Continuously monitor process operating conditions and make necessary adjustments to ensure safe and efficient process operation.
- Facilitate close cooperation & effective transfer of information between the field operators and the shift production supervisor.
- Identify abnormal operating conditions and escalate as necessary to the shift team supervisor.
- Respond to emergency or upset conditions by taking necessary shutdown or process adjustment action to restore stable operating conditions.
Principal Accountability / Main Task:
- Support plant commissioning by effectively operating the DCS with input from technical experts.
- Manage the start-up, stable operation and shut down of assigned plant and facilities according to approved operating procedures or instructions.
- Maintain log books or other operational records as required and with good quality.
- Provide coaching or appropriate technical advice to other DCS or field operators to realize efficient and effective operations.
- Respond to and manage process alarms and other information.
- Escalate significant process deviations to the production management team in a timely manner.
- Participate in investigations of significant process upsets by providing clear information.
- Contribute to continuous improvement efforts by providing information and recommendations for how to improve operating procedures.
Qualifications:
- Good Communication in English (Verbal and Writing)
- At least 7 years of experience as a production DCS boardman in the chemical or oil & gas sector
- At least a High Vocational Certificate (Mechanical /E&I/ Petrochemical)
- Being able to work on a shift pattern.
- Previous pre-commission, commission, startup experience.
- Experience with fiber/polymer processes is a plus.
- Experience with Emerson Delta V DCS is preferred.
- Good computer skills including MS Office.
- Ability to work effectively in a diverse multicultural team.
- Proven team working and team building skills.
- Personal skills include good listening skills, strong coaching/mentoring skills, and strong delegation & follow-through ability.
- Training & development of shift operation teams.
