An exciting Data Scientist (x2 vacancy) job has just become available at one of the most respected chemical company based in Bangkok. This role reports directly to the head of digital transformation.
About the Data Scientist Role:
Due to excellent results and future expansion plans, the Data Scientist will play a key role in this digital transformation division at its Bangkok office. You will help strengthen the team to support the growth of the business.
The salary range for this role is THB100K-130K per month + Performance bonus + Medical insurance (covered family).
Key Responsibilities:
- Analyses performance data of business or process for identified value gaps to gain insights so as to drive business improvements
- works with Digital transformation team and business units to refine and improve strategies from data selection through to deployment
- Generate insights on the effectiveness of plant production, maintenance and projects and assesses how to balance cost against volume and quality of products
- Work closely with business units to define, gather and h the data and reports needed to inform business decisions
- Works closely with data management team to ensure data and process quality, as well as integrating new data sources where necessary
The successful Data Scientist will be analytical, well-organised and driven.
Key Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree (Master's degree preferred) in Computer Science, Engineering, Statistics, Mathematics.
- Excellent analytical and structured problem solving skills
- Fluency in R, Python, SQL, SAS, SPSS or advanced analytics software
- Fluency in Microsoft office tools
- Exceptional troubleshooting skills and ability to thrive in demanding business settings involving many stakeholders
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills; ability to present complex information in an easy-to-understand manner with clear recommendations based on data insights.
- Experience with digitisation of industrial processes prefered
