Legal Capabilities:
- Rules/regulations generated by the OIC.
- Rules/regulations associated with anti-money laundering.
- Insurance law.
- Data privacy.
- Labour law and common practices, termination cases and disputes between the Company and the employee.
- Public law.
- Regulations governing Public Limited Companies.
- Analysing incoming cases and providing initial legal advice on various matters, i.e. chance of winning the case, presenting options that the Company has in managing different types of legal cases and issues.
- Giving advice with regards to legal charges, such as fine payments, court proceedings, if any, and proposing available options that the Company can undertake.
- Becoming a content expert in different types of legal conditions governing the insurance business and keeping relevant parties informed at all times.
- Keeping up to date with the law, regulations, or any changes and updates associated with them and keep the Management informed in order to avoid potential damage and loss.
- Providing professional advice to Management, in due time, with regards to structural, legal and administrative pitfalls in order to take the right actions accordingly.
- Monitoring the level of risks associated with the business and drafting the risk management initiative/policies - Anti-Money Laundering policy.
- Reviewing and proofreading legal documents, wordings and choices of words and giving comments accordingly.
- Providing initial legal advice to HR with regards to labour law and potential disputes in the organization, and giving suitable suggestions leading to minimum losses.
- Providing legal advisory services regarding data privacy matters.
- Compiling reports for Management, summarizing action plans and guiding reminders of different types of deadlines.
- Male or female, aged between 32-40 years old.
- A Bachelor’s degree or higher in Law. A master’s degree will be an added advantage.
- Strong background in insurance compliance, regulations and related laws.
- Proven track record of adding value to the organization through the comprehensive development of legal processes that mitigate risks and penalties.
- Strong communication skills in English.
- Possess leadership and managerial skills.
