Job Description:
- Manage the food and beverage provision for functions and events
- Budget and establish financial targets and forecasts
- Negotiate contracts with customers, assess their requirements and ensure they're satisfied with the service delivered (in contract catering)
- Maximize sales and meet profit and financial expectations both internal and external organization
- Supervise catering and waiting staff at functions
- Liaise with internal & External suppliers and clients
- Plan and design menus in consultation with chefs and clients
- Recruit and train permanent and casual staff
- Organize, lead and motivate the catering team
- Ensure health and safety regulations are strictly observed
- Monitor the quality of the product and service provided
- Keep financial and administrative records
- Manage the payroll and monitor spending levels
- Maintain stock levels and order new supplies as required
- Ensure compliance with all fire, licensing and employment regulations
- Maintain and accurately keep updatedcustomer records
- Efficiently respond to all customer enquires in a polite and timely manner
- Create and prepare accurate catering proposals for potential customers, ensuring that the catering offer matches the profile of the event in terms of product selection and budget
- Provide weekly and monthly sales activity reports
- Produce clear and accurate Event Catering Schedules within set deadlines
- Organize and attend client meetings both internally and externally
Candidate:
- Thai with Degree in Hospitality, Food Science, Management or related field
- Proven record of experience in successfully managing catering business
- Passionate about catering business, attention to detail and client focus
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Decision making skills
- Ability to manage in a diverse environment with a focus on client and customer services
- Good business and commercial acumen
- Strong leadership and motivating skills including the ability to build strong relationships with customers and staff
- The ability to think quickly, work in stressful circumstances and stay calm in a crisis
- Financial, budgeting and stock-taking skills
- Knowledge of food, food hygiene (including hazard analysis and critical control points) and food preparation
