Job Description

This position has a regional responsibility for the CT Business in Thailand, Myanmar, Cambodia and Laos  and the legal entity in Thailand.

  • Interact with other Group units in a constructive, productive and unselfish way that supports the development of synergies and the consolidated result of the Divisions and performance of the Business Area (and the Group)

  • Support the goals and participate in the Group’s mission to achieve sustainable profitable development
  • Support the operations to achieve results as per objectives agreed with the General Manager
  • Develop the business control in the organization as per guidelines laid down by the General Manager, with the objective of strengthening the adherence to company local policies and procedures as well as policies also laid down in The Way We Do Things.
  • Develop strong support to “People Care”, i.e. training and competence development of personnel in your area of responsibility. Ensure written Missions to all leading positions in your area of responsibility are in place, including yearly appraisals and follow-up.
  • Identify, support and follow-up talented persons in your area of responsibility with a good potential to grow within the local company or company Group.
  • Safeguard integrity and transparency of operations and of the legal structure by making sure that FAM and Business Code of Practice is understood and applied where relevant
  • See to it that at all times the local Prokura structure in place, approved by the General Manager, are adhered upon and complied with.
  • Embrace the Group’s Planning Process by coordinating and promoting it to key staff in your organization. Identify, utilized, and share best practices through interactions with all levels of the organization.
  • Implement effective business control process and tools. Identify, implement, and follow-up if corrective actions are needed.
  • Always promote transparency and in facts and figures to ensure a decision process is made based on adequate and objective information.
  • Through accurate, relevant and timely business & financial analysis, support general management in making effective business decisions.
  • To secure that adequate internal control processes are in place and that Group processes are implemented.
  • To participate in business activities and thereby actively contribute in developing the business in accordance with the strategy and targets.
  • To raise “red flags” to operational and/or holding management whenever compliance with sound business principles are at risk.
  • To ensure a sound implementation and application of Business Control Process in company as define in ‘The Way We Do Things”.
  • To safeguard a good internal control processes in order to protect the company assets, to control the financial performance of the company and to ensure that financial reporting and accounting matters are in accordance with “The Way We Do Things” and local statutory accounting practice.
  • To participate in business activities, commit to the planning process and thereby actively contribute in developing the business in accordance with the strategy and targets set by the company.
  • To provide good tools and analysis to the Management in order to support and achieve the company targets for cash-flow, profitability, collection period, lower overdue receivables and growth.
  • To support and be an important contributing partner and advisor to Business Line Managers in order to help them develop their line of businesses.
  • As a Business Controller for a legal entity, you are also responsible for a legal entity’s total financial and non-financial reporting.
  • In addition to your tasks in those roles your mission also covers: Treasury Management, Secretary to the Legal Statutory Board, and responsibilities in coordinating, monitoring and ensuring compliance to Legal matters for the total legal entity.


  • Male/Female age  40+ years old
  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance and/or business administration or similar academic background.
  • Proven background in business controlling with motivation to be involved in the general administration and management.
  • Highly motivated and ambitious team player, while at the same time showing initiative and ability to work independently.
  • Customer oriented and able to establish/maintain relations and networks with people inside and outside the organization.
  • Excellent problem solving and analytical skills with ability to explain/train others in complicated processes in a user-friendly manner.
  • Experience in managing people, business oriented and able to communicate effectively with customers at all levels.
  • Fluency in English, spoken and written. Knowledge of Thai is preferred but not a pre requisite
  • Good knowledge of ERP (SAP, SCALA)
  • Ability to learn and grasp the different financial process flows.
  • Good project management skills
  • Good analytical skills
