Accounting and Payroll Officer

Summary Information:

We expect our Accounting and Payroll Officer performs daily Accounting Clerk responsibilities and some of payroll tasks to ensure that all payroll transactions are processed accurately and timely.

Major Duties and Responsibilities

Accounting Clerk Responsibilities;

  • Collect and sort invoices and checks.
  • Mail checks to both other clients and related parties.
  • Keep a thorough record of business transactions and enter data from daily work logs into the company’s general ledger system.
  • Supporting supervisory and senior staff by performing any assigned accounting and clerical tasks.
  • Keep a thorough record of all company charges, as well as any refunds that have been issued.
  • Key in or type up any documents or items that the accounting department is responsible for, including checks and invoices, as well as vouchers, accounting statements, and other reports and records.
  • Process invoices/bills.
  • Contact clients to notify them of delinquent accounts and accept any payments made at the time of contact.

Responsibilities that related with Payroll tasks;

  • Complete accurate and timely processing of associates’ payroll (contractors’ payroll) and billing and review invoices for accuracy.
  • Keep up with payroll and tax laws and ensure that top managements is kept abreast of any changes or updates.
  • Review invoices and ensure that they sync with payable accounts information.

Requirements of the role;

  • A bachelor's degree in Accounting
  • A complete or comprehensive understanding of accounting practices and procedures.
  • The ability to act responsibly and ethically when working with sensitive financial information.
