Job Description

Our client is an IT business operation. They are now looking for a dynamic and suitable candidate for the position of Accountant

Office Administration Function:
  • Supporting the General Manager by managing office, appointments, diary, keeping records of meetings, filing of expenses, and time-sheeting.
  • Providing support to Team Thailand by monitoring Harvest timesheets, documenting team meetings, following up action items & maintaining staff leave in BambooHR.
  • Providing supplies by identifying needs for reception, switchboard, mailroom, and kitchen; establishing policies, procedures, and work schedules.
  • Communicating systems by identifying needs; evaluating options; maintaining equipment; approving invoices.
  • Purchasing printed materials and forms by obtaining requirements; negotiating price, quality, and delivery; approving invoices.
  • Preparing the work to be accomplished by gathering and sorting documents and related information.
  HR & Payroll Function:
  • Recording notes of face-to-face meetings with staff in BambooHR.
  • Providing group support by booking coaching sessions and following up agreed action items.
  • Updating and maintaining all documentation related to staff on Sharepoint or relevant storage system.
  • Ensuring mandatory participation by all Thai team members.
  • Ensuring effective and regular communication with group functions and staff.
  • Supporting the management in recruiting, selecting, orienting, and training employees; maintaining a safe and secure work environment; developing personal growth opportunities.
  • Maintaining the payroll information by collecting, calculating, and entering data.
  • Updating payroll records by entering changes in exemptions, insurance coverage, savings deductions, and job title and department/division transfers.
  • Preparing reports by compiling summaries of earnings, taxes, deductions, leave, disability, and non-taxable wages.
  • Resolving payroll discrepancies by collecting and analyzing information.
  • Providing payroll information by answering questions and requests.
  • Maintaining payroll operations by following policies and procedures; reporting changes required.
  • Maintaining employee confidence and protect payroll operations by keeping information confidential.
Finance Function:
  • Paying invoices by verifying transaction information; scheduling and preparing disbursements; obtaining authorization of payment.
  • Obtaining revenue by verifying transaction information; computing charges and refunds; preparing and mailing invoices; identifying delinquent accounts and insufficient payments.
  • Collecting revenue by reminding delinquent accounts; notifying customers of insufficient payments.
  • Managing weekly employee expenses, posting transactions from the timesheet & expense system, process employee payments.
  • Maintaining accounting ledgers by posting account transactions.
  • Resolving account discrepancies by investigating documentation; issuing stop payments, payments, or adjustments.
  • Maintaining financial security by following internal accounting controls.
  • Maintaining the financial historical records by filing accounting documents.
Qualifications:
  • Degree with Accounting qualifications.
  • Minimum 3 - 5 years work experience in accounting, ideally within the IT or engineering industry.
  • Accounting and office administration skills.
  • Fluent in Thai and English languages.
  • Must be a self-starter that can work independently.
  • Able to work collaboratively in a team, working in a team of 10.
