Starting salaries for IT and digital–related jobs increase at all levels against the same period in 2019, particularly at the Officer Level that rose to #1 from its previous #3 position. Also, the Supervisor Level and Top Level top the chart in terms of new highest paying jobs (rose from their previous #13 and #12 positions respectively in only two years). This signifies the market demand for transformation as a result of Digital Disruption.

Within this scenario there are two more categories to watch out for. Telecom has become in the Top 5 at Officer Level, Supervisor Level, and Manager Level. Banking has also become one of the ten highest paying jobs at all level. This demonstrates the growth potential in both categories after the reform driven by Digital Disruption. From here, it is noticed that banks have extendedly opted for digital banking strategies so that online transactions have more than doubled. The transformation into a full-scale digital banking has resulted in rising demand for IT and analytics professionals who can drive new digital banking product development.

For telecom-related positions, it is found that not only larger organizations offer highly competitive salaries but also have medium and small companies looking for talent who can help with developing the infrastructure needed to meet digital technology requirements and applications in the economic sector. Additionally, the current COVID-19 pandemic situation requires organizations to migrate into New Normal, inducing them to be more reliant to digital platforms.

According to Pornladda Dathratwibul, JobsDB Thailand Country Manager, JobsDB also unveils a synopsis of labor requirements in 2020 which reflects signs of recovery in several business sectors and listed top 10 job functions that companies need most in 2021
