Job Summary: Facilitates high level sales strategies aimed at increasing the casino’s customer database and ensuring new business development under supervision for the Sales & Marketing Director
Duties and Responsibilities (specific areas of responsibility include but not limited to):
- Believe and demonstrate the SLR Vision and Mission Statement.
- Build and Manages personal selling strategies to ensure maximum growth on both current and new Business
- Implements selling-specific promotional strategies
- Communicate the benefits of packages to customers to ensure customers are not confused by the structure of such packages and benefits
- Uses collateral materials prepared by Marketing to sell packages by ensuring these are made available to customers and distributed in a timely manor
- Understands the necessity for target driven Sales set by the Director of Sales and marketing, the benefits of achieving set goals and targets.
- Sells rooms and services for hotel to businesses and other establishments through sales calls to offices, trade show or customer’s place of business by performing the following duties.
- Compiles lists of prospective customers for use as sales leads, based on information from newspapers, business directories, industry ads, trade shows and other sources.
- Maintains Sales Department Hit List.
- Create a comprehensive strategic and tactical sales plan.
- Monitor lost business and comp reports.
- Tracks current incoming client base for follow-up.
- Makes phone and outside calls throughout assigned territory/market assignment to call on regular and prospective customers to solicit orders, or talks with customers on sales floor or by phone.
- Prepares weekly sales reports of business transactions and keeps expense accounts.
- Enters new customer data and other sales data for current customers into CRM database.
- Maintains and develops relationships with contacts.
- Assist in marketing and product development via targeted mailing, and sales calls.
- Attends trade shows, association meetings, community events and industry meetings and conventions for assigned territory/market assignment.
- Responsible for all booking and paper work for all of their client meetings and events booked at the hotel.
- May serve as convention advisor or coordinator during function to minimize confusion and resolve problems such as space adjustment and need for additional equipment.
- Researches and maintains up to date rate information on Competitive Set through test calls to reservations and sight inspections on quarterly basis.
- Work with other departments within the hotel to provide quality service to customers.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
