MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Schedules and plans workloads, as needed; inspectional and technical activities related to all areas of manufacturing and processing operations.
Responsible for all facets of technical support and inspectional activities on Fruit Receiving, Preparation, Processing, Aseptic and Juice Plant, Dried Fruit Operation, Diversified products (Vacuum Fried Chips, Crunch, Vacuum Freeze Dried, labeling and casing and control of non-conforming products.
Develops and implements corrective and preventive actions to control sources of non-conformance.
Directs and conducts laboratory analyses related to food quality; such as Brix, Acid level, carotene, pH etc. determination, including GMP, HACCP determination, and bacteria control and sanitation.
Directs quality inspection in all areas of production; such as technical and inspectional services, pack inspection data, incoming material inspection, finished goods, and shipping.
Assigns work, as needed, to immediate subordinates to determine whether all company inspection and testing procedures and work instructions are in compliance with documented standard operational procedures.
Implements changes if any procedures do not meet required standards.
Handles inspectional control of processing parameters, including Fruit receiving, Ginaca, Preparation, Processing, Juice and Crushed system, Dried Fruit Operation ,Diversified products ( Vacuum Fried Chips, Crunch, Chocolate coating), Warehousing and Shipping, Can Plant Operations, Plastic Container-related activities as needed in order to fully understand all criteria of processing.
Plans for Heat Distribution and Penetration for Retort, Water Bath and Rotary Cooker as needed in or requested by Processing.
Manages the activities of the Supervisors, Foreladies and Inspectors on the processing floor and the technical laboratory; and keeps them abreast on activities or policies within the company.
Reviews the Certificate of Analysis (CoA) as required by Customer or Marketing.
Updates reference concerning product quality as needed or requested by user.
Prepares the quality part of the Monthly QA Report.
Responsible for Cost and Budget to ensure keeping reasonable cost.
Ensures that finished products meet minimum customer specifications.
Develops and maintains close working relations with all departments in order to foster a harmonious work atmosphere, eliminate production problems, and help improve overall production efficiency.
Assigns subordinate level in the organizational chart to be deputy to handle his/her duties and responsibilities in case of absence.
Ensures safe working conditions in all areas under his/her responsibility; promotes safety consciousness among subordinate employees; and enforces safety rules and regulations.
Participates actively in the company’s Continuous Improvement Programs; and leads and directs activities related to improvements as needed.
Supports the Profit Improvement Program (PIP) of the company.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Food Technology/ Biotechnology
Experience: 3 years work experience in the manufacturing industry
Knowledge: Food Technology or Biotechnology, Quality Control, ISO and Other Applicable
